Details

Throat plates for the Kobalt KT1015 jobsite table saw. I designed these myself and print them in my own shop in Texas. Choose the plate you need above.

Before you order: Please check that the model number on your saw is KT1015 before you order. Always wear eye protection.

Zero clearance plate

You need this if you want cleaner cuts with your table saw. A tight blade slot supports the wood right at the cut, so plywood and veneer don't chip. The plate comes with a removable, replaceable riving knife for safety. The riving knife stands 3/4 inch tall.

The plate attaches securely with a spring-loaded latch. Retract the latch when you install the plate.

First-time setup:

  1. Lower the saw blade all the way down and install the plate.
  2. Set the table saw fence on top of the installed plate.
  3. Put on eye protection, turn on the saw and slowly raise the spinning blade through the plate. This cuts the slot and the riving knife to suit your blade.

The riving knife can be cut away when you raise the blade for deeper cuts, but always raise the blade only as far as needed to cut through the material. Remove the riving knife, or use a different plate, for cuts that don't go all the way through.
